So below is how happy I looked yesterday after my final MSc exam, a presentation on my dissertation.
I can't quite believe its done (pending results in a couple of of weeks of course).
It was so lovely to finish the day with a few friends from my course, as several of us were in for our presentations. A lovely celebratory lunch was enjoyed :-) It just feels so weird to have nothing that I have to do, to have some free time - I've forgotten what to do with free time (although I'm sure it will come back to me).
I really felt for those still going due to extensions and deferments, but they'll get there too.
The relief is just unbelievable. I've said it before, but I wasn't sure I could do this. It took a long time to have some self belief that I could do this, and do it well. And yet here I am, all done, and have passed everything so far, so hopefully will pass the last couple of things too. It was so exciting presenting on my dissertation yesterday - it really means a lot to me, my work on anxiety for SLT students. Its a big issue, and recent tweets from the L5s on the undergrad at BCU reflect the same difficulties in my research - the travel logistics, the pressure, the anxiety -0 its all real.
Thanks to all my fellow students, lecturers, placement educators, and friends and family who've all helped me so much along the way. I couldn't have done it without you.
For those of you considering an MSc or part way through the journey - believe in yourself, go for it - if I can do it anyone can.
